Project Overview
FEEDER organized a Free Medical Camp on 21 June 2026 in Mohallah Thandi Khui, near Chikya Road, District Mansehra. The initiative was designed to provide free medical consultation, medicines and health awareness to an underprivileged migrated community living in the area.
The target community consists of approximately 100 households, with many families relying on daily wage labour and facing financial and practical barriers to accessing quality healthcare services.
About the Project
The medical camp was organized to help address immediate healthcare needs while also promoting awareness about preventive healthcare. Community members were provided access to medical consultation and medicines without the financial burden of travelling to or visiting healthcare facilities.
Women and children formed a significant proportion of the patients attending the camp. Common concerns included nutritional deficiencies, skin conditions, gastrointestinal problems and minor respiratory illnesses, highlighting the importance of accessible healthcare and health education within underserved communities.
Project Objectives
The objectives of the Free Medical Camp included:
- Providing free medical consultation to deserving families.
- Distributing free medicines to patients.
- Identifying common health problems within the community.
- Promoting awareness regarding hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention.
- Creating awareness about mental health and stress management.
- Encouraging patients requiring further treatment to seek appropriate medical follow-up.
Key Activities
During the medical camp, patients received medical consultations and medicines according to their needs. The activity also included health awareness and guidance on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention and general well-being.
A total of 61 patients were checked and provided with medicines during the activity.
Project Impact
The Free Medical Camp provided immediate healthcare support to members of an underserved community while helping raise awareness about preventive healthcare practices.
The activity demonstrated the importance of community-based healthcare outreach in areas where financial constraints, transportation difficulties and limited access to healthcare facilities can prevent families from seeking timely treatment.
